Team Leader / Disability Support Worker
Newell Community Action Group provides support to people with special needs/complex needs in a wide variety of individualized programs. We have positions in the City of Brooks for a Team Leader. The Team Leader Provides direction, support and coordination of services for staff, clients and families. This includes: planning, prioritizing and monitoring staff activity; providing leadership to staff to ensure delivery of quality services; participating in development, implementation and monitoring of Individual Program Plans (IPP); supporting training of staff; facilitating staff communication; ensuring agency policies and Health and Safety regulations are being followed; identifying and analyzing issues of concern; assessing need for intervention and liaising with appropriate resources such as other support organizations; maintaining appropriate documentation and records; communicating effectively with families, clients, guardians, staff and community contacts; cooperates with program Coordinator to schedule case conferences and attending case conferences pertaining to his/her clients; plans and coordinates the operation of daily activities; orchestrates and attends regular staff meetings and special meetings as required. Candidates must have valid license as well as a registered & insured vehicle. Candidates will also be required to have a recent criminal record check, driver’s abstract and valid first aid.
